What is a Manufacturing job?

Manufacturing is the making of goods by hand or by machine that the business sells to a customer once completed.  The manufacturer buys raw material or parts to manufacture a finished product.  The manufacturer will need to keep a close eye on the quality of the product from beginning to end and will test the quality during the process.Business is always changing, if they make too much without selling that could be very costly.  However, if they don’t make enough, they may lose business due to the timeframe it would take to manufacture.  Manufacturing could also be a “Make to Order manufacturing company.  The customer would tell them what they need, quantity and deliver by date.

Examples of Manufacturing is almost endless.  Food, Beverage, Clothing, Paper, Plastic, Metal, Furniture, and so on and so on.  Most everything you see is manufactured somewhere.
