Vest Professional Placement is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team and
oversee the production process in a new bakery production warehouse.
Position Overview:
The Engineer will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing our bakery production warehouse. They will be tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of the facility, supervising the mass production of bakery goods, and maintaining equipment to uphold quality and efficiency standards. This position will report directly to the Owner.
Responsibilities:
● Lead the setup and operation of the bakery production warehouse, including equipment installation and maintenance.
● Supervise the parts person and collaborate with managers on each shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
● Manage a team of up to but not limited to five mechanics per shift, offering guidance and assistance as required.
● Uphold compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production process.
● Address technical issues or equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
● Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
● Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce breakdowns.
● Monitor production supplies inventory levels and liaise with procurement teams for timely replenishment.
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
● Minimum of 10 years of experience in mass production of bakery goods, with a focus on equipment maintenance and enhancement.
● Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
● Strong problem-solving capabilities and mechanical proficiency.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, adapting swiftly to shifting priorities.
● Flexibility to work after hours as needed for production maintenance.
● Experience in establishing new manufacturing facilities is desirable.

Compensation:
● Salary range: $130,000 – $140,000 annually.
